<p>The Chad Jenkins era has come to its ignominious end. The pitcher who was drafted 20th overall by the Jays in 2009 &#8212; five picks ahead of Mike Trout *COUGH* &#8212; and spent much of the last couple-or-three years (what, am I gonna look it up?) has been released by the club in order to&#8230; uh&#8230; in order to not have Jenkins on the roster. Godspeed, Jenknutz.</p>
<p>The Jenkins move was announced at the same time as the club announced that Ryan Tepera has been sent down to Buffalo and Brett Cecil activated from the DL. Finally!</p>
<p>Cecil will go straight into a setup role in the bullpen, says John Gibbons, according to an Arden Zwelling <a href="https://twitter.com/ArdenZwelling/status/748614270427009024">tweet</a>. </p>
<p>Scott MacArthur <a href="https://twitter.com/ScottyMacThinks/status/748614334801186816">tweets</a> that Gibbons says Franklin Morales &#8220;isn&#8217;t imminent.&#8221; So&#8230; OK? Weird. But whatever. Ceece!</p>
<p>&#8220;Cecil says his curveball feels a lot sharper than it was in April/May. He made a slight mechanical change to be more upright; that&#8217;s helped,&#8221; tweets Arden. He adds: &#8220;Pitching more upright has helped Cecil stay over the rubber and keeps his arm closer to his body. He&#8217;s encouraged with the results.&#8221;</p>
