<p>The Yankees, somehow, haven&#8217;t even been complete garbage since the trade deadline &#8212; the point at which they divested themselves of two of their three top relievers, plus Carlos Beltran, and made the decision that A-Rod was going to get RET1R3D.</p>
<p>They&#8217;re playing the kids! Kind of.</p>
<p>I mean, sure, the empty husk of Jacoby Ellsbury is still there. And even though Joe Girardi doesn&#8217;t do victory tours, Mark Teixeira is still dragging his old bones out there every day. And there&#8217;s Headley, and Castro, and McCann, too. But some kids also!</p>

<p>Shi Davidi <a href="https://twitter.com/ShiDavidi/status/765288636686499844">tells us</a> that, per John Gibbons, Ezequiel Carrera is playing again for Buffalo tonight, and he notes that he&#8217;s eligible to come off the DL tomorrow.</p>
<p>More on this tomorrow, but I certainly ought to note that the Jays announced changes to their 2017 season ticket prices earlier today. They sure do want to treat their fans like they&#8217;re a big market team! But do they want to do the same for their pending free agents?
