Does the Kevin Kiermaier Extension Mean Anything For the Jays’ Kevin Pillar?

On Tuesday evening, Mark Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reported that Rays centre fielder Kevin Kiermaier is closing in on signing a lucrative multi-year extension with the club, worth more than $50-million. Does it even mean anything?
