Series Recap: *Stirring Motion*

It’s been a nightmare start to the season, there’s no doubt about that. But the Blue Jays are heading out of April with some momentum after stringing back-to-back wins together (and coming out of a series with a win) for the first time this year.

Aaron Sanchez Leaves Game After One Inning

Today was supposed to be The Return of The Sanchez, instead, it was The Return of The Blister. Aaron Sanchez pitched just one inning against the Rays and was pulled after inducing an inning-ending double play. He noticeably struggled with command and wasn’t using his breaking ball, suggesting this issue is certainly blister related.

Jays Decide To Cut Down On Their Salt Intake

See what I did there? But yeah. So, remember the thing the last few years with Josh Thole, when people wanted to rage about how the Jays were stuck with him while others — let’s call them folks who actually had some kind of a fucking grasp on what big league backup catching “talent” looks like…

Looking Ahead From 6-16 (To 2018)

Welp. Yesterday’s optimism feels pretty fucking quaint now, doesn’t it? Substantially, little has changed, but hoo boy, that was a gut punch. Series Recap: What Turning Point?

Just like in the Angels series, the Blue Jays were a tease this week. They’ll give you games like Tuesday night, with a Coghlan flip and a Marcus Stroman double, but then, right when you start to get excited, they’ll go and blow a 4-0 lead in the seventh inning. This team, man. This team. Ugh.

Game Threat: Double Dip Part Two, Blue Jays (6-15) @ Cardinals (10-11)

The Jays had a 4-0 lead in the seventh inning of today’s game, but ended up losing 8-4 in the 11th inning. The best part about it? They play again. They’ll either redeem themselves and make us forget about this afternoon’s catastrophe, or they’ll make it even worse. We shall see, because we all hate ourselves, so…

Looking Ahead From 6-14

The Blue Jays have played .600 ball over their last five games! That’s a rather disingenuous way to spin the way their season has been going of late. They have, however, slipped quietly out of horrific awfulness and into regular old mediocrity, winning four of their last eight. Four of their last seven, even! It’s…
