Glenn Sparkman a consideration for #BlueJays' roster, but no decision made. Rehab window ending for Rule 5 pick.
Game Threat: Rubber Match, Orioles (38-39) @ Blue Jays (37-40)

The schedule gets hard after today’s game, so winning this series would be very good. The Jays are going up against Ubaldo Jimenez, who hasn’t pitched in Toronto since…. You guessed it! The Wild Card Game walk-off!
News and Scuttlebutt
Aaron Sanchez to pitch for @BuffaloBisons Sunday. #BlueJays hopeful he can return after one more rehab start
A couple pieces of news today…
First, the Jays are nearing a decision on Rule 5 pickup Glenn Sparkman, who has missed the entire 2017 season due to an broken finger suffered in spring training. Sparkman has made two rehab starts with Triple-A Buffalo, allowing three runs on six hits and three walks in 8 2/3 innings. His rehab assignment runs out this weekend, so the Jays will either have to offer him back to Kansas City or put him on their roster. I would guess he gets activated and Chris Smith is optioned.
Second, Aaron Sanchez is making a rehab start for Triple-A Buffalo on Sunday. Hopefully it goes well and he can rejoin the team next week. I was hoping they would just bring him up, but, whatever.

Orioles
Here's our lineup for the series finale tonight at Rogers Centre against the Blue Jays at 7:07 p.m. #Birdland
Ubaldo Jimenez: 7.26 ERA, 65 2/3 IP, 9.9 H9, 2.2 HR9, 4.7 BB9, 7.4 SO9
Ubaldo Jimenez has had a disastrous season so far, owning a 7.26 ERA. J.A. Happ, on the other hand, has been excellent. This is a very winnable game for the Blue Jays.
