The Jays come into the game tonight finding themselves on a bit of a roll winning their last three. It’s not going to be an easy task to keep the streak alive in a battle of the disabled list returnees, but another step towards a second straight series win could go a long way.
News and Scuttlebutt
The replacement players for the 2017 All-Star game were named, and Roberto Osuna got the nod. He should have been there in the first round of announcements, but alls well that ends well, I guess.

A couple of baby Jays are on the move as low A standouts Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Bo Bichette will trade in their Lugnuts red for Dunedin blues. Both have been absolutely dominating the midwest league, and have seen their prospect capital grow exponentially. On the mid season Baseball America rankings both saw a significant jump with Guerrero going from 16th to second, and Bichette from 93rd to 44th. A lot of love for these boys.

And now, the lineups….
— Daily Dugout (@DailyDugout) July 7, 2017
Aaron Sanchez: 3.33 ERA, 24.1 IP, 8.1 H/9, 1.5 HR/9, 3.3 BB/9, 6.7 SO/9
Charlie Morton: 4.06 ERA, 57.2 IP, 8.7 H/9, 1.1 HR/9, 3.6 BB/9, 10.1 SO/9
As mentioned before, both guys pitching tonight are making returns from lenghty DL stints, so it’s even more difficult than normal to predict what to expect. The Jays bats were looking sharp last night though, and if they can keep that up Morton will be in for a rough night.
