Rowdy Tellez is in the #BlueJays clubhouse. Stay tuned....
Let’s get Rowdy (again)

It looks like Rowdy Tellez is back in the mix. After a one-month stint with the Triple-A Bisons, Tellez has re-joined the Blue Jays roster.
In 26 games with Buffalo, Tellez has absolutely mashed. He’s slashing a .366/.450/.688 line with seven homers and nine doubles.
The key for Tellez, though, is limiting strikeouts and taking more walks. During that stint with Buffalo, Tellez walked 14 times and struck out 25 times, which is substantially better than the 17 walks and 83 strikeouts he had at the Major League level this year.
Of course, this could be a product of him facing wild and mediocre pitching at the Triple-A level, but we’ve seen both Teoscar Hernandez and Lourdes Gurriel come back from trips to Buffalo with much better approaches at the plate this season. Hopefully Rowdy has the same success.
#BlueJays add 1B Rowdy Tellez, option RHP Brock Stewart. Tellez will probably play more than Smoak, Montoyo says.
There it is. Predictably, one of Toronto’s optionable pitchers has been sent to Triple-A. As Keegan Matheson reports, Tellez will be seeing more time down the stretch at first base than veteran Justin Smoak. This is Tellez’s chance to show he belongs.
