Welcome to the Betano: Bets of the Series! We’re looking at the start of each series for the Toronto Blue Jays, who they are up against, and what we could expect from the next number of games.
Cheers to the freakin’ weekend.
And this one will feature the Toronto Blue Jays hosting the Chicago Cubs for a three-game set. It comes amid a weekend where the club will celebrate Jose Bautista bringing his name to the ring of honour.
Let’s dive into the odds.

Toronto -143; Chicago +110

Series correct score

Toronto 2-1 +130
Toronto 3-0 +475

Projected Starting Pitchers

Friday: Jose Berrios
Saturday: Chris Bassitt
Sunday: Hyun-Jin Ryu

Friday: Javier Assad
Saturday: Justin Steele
Sunday: Jameson Taillon

The Analysis

Betano loves the Jays here in this series, and it makes a ton of sense. Beyond Steele, the Cubbies aren’t rolling out an A+ group of pitchers. They’re opening the series tonight with Assad out of the bullpen, and Taillon is sporting a career-worst 5.17 ERA this season.
They Jays at -143 to win the series makes sense, and taking them to win the series 2-1 at +130 is a nice number, too.
