The streak of consecutive series losses has been snapped at four.
The Toronto Blue Jays earned a split in their two-game set with the red-hot Philadelphia Phillies. They got pumped 10-1 in the opener on Tuesday, held a closed-door team meeting afterward, and returned with a 5-3 victory on Wednesday.
We talked about José Berríos’s first rough outing of the season, Chris Bassitt’s clutch start, Jordan Romano’s first save since April, and where Vladimir Guerrero Jr. might thrive in the lineup. After that, we looked around the AL East and ahead to this weekend’s series with the Minnesota Twins.
