The Toronto Blue Jays get their first look at the Philadelphia Phillies as they swing through the City of Brotherly Love for a quick two-game set.
Toronto will bring ace Alek Manoah to the mound this afternoon opposite of Aaron Nola and Kevin Gausman will take on Zack Wheeler on Wednesday.
After a sweep of the Pittsburgh Pirates that saw the Jays rack up 22 runs in three games, the bats are feeling hot and that’s a great thing ahead of this series. On the year, the Phillies have allowed 5.11 runs against per game, the sixth-worst rate in baseball. While Nola is their undeniable ace, even he’s had some struggles this season.
Let’s see if the bats can stay hot tonight.
