BJN Radio – Ep. 113: Bullpen issues, Nate Pearson time, drama in Tampa, and more!

It was another series that started off well but finished with a sour taste.
The Blue Jays rolled into Philly and popped off with 18 runs in the first game and then blew a late lead in the second game to ultimately wild up with a split.
We talked about the outburst from the bats, the meltdown from Julian Merryweather, whether or not it’s time to bring up Nate Pearson, and the odd lousy luck Kevin Gausman has had this year. We also talked about whether we should be worried about Jordan Romano, who’s now blown saves in back-to-back games for the first time in his big league career.
After that, we took a look around the American League as both the Seattle Mariners and Tampa Bay Rays are going cold down the stretch.
