BJN Radio – Ep. 132: An up-and-down Opening Weekend in St. Louis!

Opening Weekend certainly gave us a lot to talk about!
The Blue Jays took just one of three from the Cardinals in St. Louis to kick off the 2023 season, winning a rollercoaster opener by a score of 10-9 before dropping Saturday and Sunday’s games by scores of 4-1 and 9-4.
We talked about Alek Manoah’s rough outing, Kevin Gausman still being BABIP’d to death, Chris Bassitt struggling with PitchCom, and some of the puzzling decisions that John Schneider made. We also talked about the new-look offence and how the Blue Jays scored 15 runs over three games without hitting a home run.
After that, we took a look ahead to the team’s upcoming series in Kansas City against a Royals squad that scored just four runs in their first series of the season.
