BJN Radio – Ep. 223: Blue Jays swept by Red Sox in mid-season mid-off

The Toronto Blue Jays hosted the Boston Red Sox for a mid-season American League East Battle of the Middle and things didn’t go well. The bats could only muster three runs in each of the games and the Blue Jays were swept for the first time this season.
We talked about the various ways the Blue Jays managed to lose games in this series, which featured poor starting pitching, poor relief pitching, poor defence, and, of course, poor offence. We also talked about the speculation article that appeared on Sportsnet’s website suggesting Bo Bichette could be an ideal target for the Los Angeles Dodgers and their pursuit of a shortstop.
