<p>Per the <a href="https://www.milb.com/roster/transactions">Minor League transactions page</a>, the Toronto Blue Jays have signed right-hander <a href="https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=parson000wes">Wes Parsons</a> to a Minor League deal, adding some depth on the mound to the Jays&#8217; farm system.</p>

<p>A Jackson State Community College product, Parsons signed with the Atlanta Braves as a free agent during the 2012 season after spending the summer with the Thunder Bay Bordercats in the wood bat Northwoods League. The 6&#8217;5&#8243; 2o year old made his professional debut the following season in Single-A, spending all season with the Rome Braves where he posted a 2.63 ERA through 19 starts.</p>
<p>Over the next five seasons, Parsons continued to make his way up the Minor League ladder, working in both the rotation and the bullpen, advancing to Triple-A in 2017 and later making his MLB debut on August 8th, 2019 against the Washington Nationals. In the relief appearance, Parsons would eat up five innings and allow four earned runs compared to three strikeouts and three walks, ending up with the loss before being sent back down to Triple-A. Working as a reliever, the Clarksville, Tennessee product would make the Braves Opening Day roster and would amass a 3.52 ERA through 17 outings and 15 1/3 innings, striking batters out at a 7.0 K/9 clip and earning his first big league win against the Chicago Cubs on April 1st.</p>
<h2>Blue Jays sign former NC Dinos Starter Wes Parsons</h2>
<p>To make room on the roster, Parsons was designated for assignment on August 19th and was later picked up on the waiver wire by the Colorado Rockies, where he would finish the season. The Rockies would DFA him the following offseason but he re-signed with the club on a MiLB deal for the 2020 season, with Parsons unable to see any game action with the MiLB campaign cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.</p>
<p>For the 2021 season, Parsons took his<a href="https://koreajoongangdaily.joins.com/2021/01/11/sports/Baseball/wes-parsons-nc-dinos-foreign-player/20210111171700545.html"> talents overseas</a> to the Korean Baseball Organization and signed a one-year deal with the NC Dinos. In his first campaign in Korea, he amassed a 3.72 ERA through 24 starts and signed another one-year deal for the 2022 season. Parsons would make eight starts for the Dinos in 2022, pitching to a 3.56 ERA with a 1.279 WHIP but a back injury kept him off the diamond and he would later be <a href="https://koreajoongangdaily.joins.com/2022/08/11/sports/Baseball/Matt-Dermody-NC-Dinos-KBO/20220811153709150.html">released</a> by the club in mid-August, with the Dinos signing former Blue Jays reliever Matt Dermodyt in his place.</p>
<p>Parsons has not pitched in affiliated ball this year and he has been assigned to the Florida Complex League in a move that is likely to help get him back into game shape and log some innings before a move up the system to either Double-A or Triple-A.</p>
