Wouldn&#8217;t it be nice to play in the American League Central?

The Toronto Blue Jays hammered the Chicago White Sox by a score of 8-0 on Wednesday afternoon and completed their first series sweep of the season in the process. All told, they outscored Chicago 20-2 over the three wins.
<h2>Things worth mentioning&#8230;</h2>
Yusei Kikuchi continued the strong stretch of performances that the Blue Jays have been getting from their starting pitchers. Kikuchi put up five-and-two-thirds of shutout innings and allowed just four hits and one walk while striking out eight.
The start was quality, but it wasn&#8217;t technically a quality start, so the streak of games in which a Blue Jay went six innings and allowed three or fewer runs came to an end at seven on Wednesday. Still, this was another excellent performance from Kikuchi, who now has an ERA of 3.00 on the season.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Bo Bichette came up big for the Blue Jays offensively in the 8-0 win. Vladdy went 2-for-5 with two runs driven in while Bichette went 3-for-4 with three runs driven in. Bichette also smacked a home run that narrowly managed to hit the foul pole.

The Blue Jays got some really strong relief performances in this game. Erik Swanson struck out all four batters that he faced, Yimi Garcia struck out two in a clean inning in the eighth, and Trevor Richards struck out the side in the ninth.
The one bad thing about this game is that George Springer was hit on the hand with a 94-mile-per-hour fastball from Michael Kopech. He went to first base and later came around to score but was lifted from the game afterward. The Blue Jays announced after the game that Springer suffered a right-hand contusion.
