<p>The Toronto Blue Jays have started to downsize the big league Spring Training camp, announcing a handful of roster moves<a href="https://twitter.com/BlueJays/status/1896679590074224975"> yesterday on social media</a>.</p>

<p>The Jays are moving the following prospects back down to the minor league side of Spring Training:</p>

<li>INF Charles McAdoo</li>
<li>INF Rainer Nunez</li>
<li>INF Eddinson Paulino</li>
<li>OF RJ Schreck</li>
<li>RHP Adam Kloffenstein</li>
</ul>
<p>The moves should not come as too much of a surprise, as most of the names listed here were long shots to make the team out of Spring Training.</p>
<p>McAdoo and Schreck both featured in seven games apiece with 12 at-bats, and both players fared pretty similarly on the stat sheet. Each player mustered just two hits respectively, although McAdoo gets the upper hand with one of his hits being an absolute moon shot of a home run that drove in three runs. Schreck gained the upper hand in walks (three) compared to McAdoo&#8217;s one.</p>

<p>Nunez featured in six games and collected three hits in nine at-bats, boasting a .899 OPS through the small sample size. He collected a double and four RBIs in his short spring tenure. In his first spring with the Blue Jays, Paulino featured in four games and collected one hit (a double) through six at-bats as well as added one walk to his tally.</p>
<p>Sosa saw the most action of the group in eight games, amassing two hits in ten at-bats &#8211; one of which was a double. He struggled at times with the strikeouts (seven) and also added on a walk to his total but saw the most action of the group. Brooks featured in just one game and walked in his only at-bat, later scoring a run.</p>
<p>The only pitcher of the group to be sent to the minor league side, former Blue Jays top prospect Adam Kloffenstein is back with the Blue Jays on a minor league deal after being traded a couple of summers ago. He appeared in two contests this spring and through four innings, he allowed four hits and two runs while walking two and striking out two. Both appearances were in relief but the right-hander will likely get an opportunity to start games in triple-A.</p>
<p>Included in the roster moves yesterday was the optioning of left-hander Adam Macko to triple-A.</p>
<p>Macko did not appear in any Spring Training games after suffering a <a href="https://bluejaysnation.com/news/adam-macko-joins-a-long-list-of-blue-jays-pitchers-on-the-shelf-to-start-the-2025-season">meniscus tear</a> in his left knee heading into camp, with the pitcher undergoing surgery last week. His timeline for recovery is currently &#8216;to be determined&#8217; but depending on his rehab, he could be out for a considerable amount of time this season. It is unfortunate news for the southpaw, who was slated to start the year in Buffalo and be one of the starting pitchers next in the line for a shot in the big leagues this season given the injuries to other depth option starting pitchers.</p>
