Only two games were played on Wednesday, as the Triple-A Buffalo Bisons and the Double-A New Hampshire Fisher Cats were rained out.
Let’s look at how the Vancouver Canadians and the Dunedin Blue Jays did.
<h1>High-A:</h1>
The Vancouver Canadians beat Spokane 4-3 in the bottom of the 10th, bringing their season record to 3-2 and their overall record to 41-29.
<h2>The Blue Jays Nation Player of the Game: Alex De Jesus</h2>
This trade is starting to not look so bad.
On Wednesday evening, the 21-year-old went 2-4 with a walk and an RBI. That RBI was the game-winning run, as he walked off the game in the bottom of the 10th.

For the season, he’s slashing .255/.337/.477 with nine homers in 246 plate appearances, along with an 11.4 BB% and a 25.6 K%.
It took him a while, but he’s finally starting to look like the prospect the Jays traded for at the 2022 deadline. Double-A will be a big test for him, but the 21-year-old has been great in 2023.
<h2>Players worth mentioning:</h2>
Alan Roden had another great game Wednesday. He went 1-3 with two walks, a single, a strikeout, and an RBI. The 23-year-old outfielder has a .299/.416/.433 slash line with three homers in 269 plate appearances, along with a 13 BB% and a 9.7 K%.
Kevin Miranda continues to be a pitcher who has quietly put up a fantastic season. On Wednesday, he finished with a line of 5 IP, 4 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, 0 K. In High-A, he has a 1.17 ERA and 3.52 FIP in 23 innings pitched, along with a 16 K% and a 3.2 BB%.  Between Single-A and High-A,  he has a 1.14 ERA in 47.1 innings pitched.
<h1>Single-A:</h1>
The Dunedin Blue Jays were down 5-0 in the second inning, but scored nine unanswered runs winning the game 9-5. Their second-half record now sits at 3-1, tied for the best in the Florida State League West. Moreover, their overall record now sits at 34-36.
<h2>The Blue Jays Nation Player of the Game: J.C. Masson</h2>
The 20-year-old outfielder is one of a handful of Canadians in the organization, and he was selected in the 26th round in 2019.
On Wednesday, he went 2-3 with a walk and four RBIs, and hit his first home run since 2021.

For the season in Single-A, he’s slashing .235/.361/.294 with two extra base hits, a 16.9 BB% and a 37.3 K% in 83 plate appearances.
<h2>Players worth mentioning:</h2>
Glenn Santiago had a good game on Wednesday, going 2-3 with a walk and his second triple of the season. The 22-year-old outfielder is salshing .244/.353/.349 with three homers in 204 plate appearances, along with a 13.2 BB% and a 19.6 K%.
Ryan McCarty has been fantastic the past few weeks, which continued Wednesday. The 24-year-old infielder went 2-4 with a walk, a strikeout, and two RBIs. Moreover, he had a triple and a double. For the season, he’s slashing .256/.348/.464 with six homers in 199 plate appearances.
<h1>Setting up for Friday’s Minor League Report:</h1>
Due to the rainout on Wednesday, the Buffalo Bisons will play two games on Thursday. The first game starts at 5:35 PM EST, with Casey Lawrence on the mound. The second game will be 30 or so minutes after game one, with Zach Thompson starting.
New Hampshire’s makeup game will be on Friday, meaning they have just one game starting at 7:05 PM EST on Thursday. Chad Dallas is set to start.
The Vancouver Canadians will take on Spokane again, with Adam Macko starting at 10:05 PM EST. Dunedin’s game starts at 6:10 PM EST with Rafael Ohashi toeing the rubber.
The FCL and DSL games are already underway as I write this. The DSL Jays did not have fun, and the FCL Jays have lost already. However, we’ll cover that more in tomorrow’s report!
