Another day, another Minor League Report.

It was a busy day on Tuesday, as the Blue Jays affiliates played six games, along with a rainout. They went 1-5, with the Vancouver Canadians picking up the only win of the day (narrowly avoiding an organizational sweep.)
Let’s look at some notes from Tuesday’s minor league action.
<h1>Spencer Horwitz needs to be called up:</h1>
Of course Spencer Horwitz once again impresses, as he hit his eighth and ninth home runs on Tuesday evening.
Including Wednesday’s game, Horwitz is now slashing .332/.449/.494 with nine homers in 414 plate appearances. He also has a higher BB% (16.4%) than K% (15.7%).

Since 2019 with a sample size of 1350 at bats at any minor league level, Spencer Horwitz ranks second in wRC+ (133), fifth in BB% (14.2%), 10th in K% (15.6%), fourth in average (.300), second in on-base percentage (.404), and second in wOBA (.390).
At any level he’s played, the dude has just hit. Call him up.
<h1>Barger, Martinez have great games:</h1>
Sticking with the Buffalo Bisons, we’ll look at two others who had great games.
First off, Orelvis Martinez went 3-5 with a double and two singles. In Triple-A, he’s slashing .258/.329/.424 with two homers in 76 plate appearances, along with a 10.5 BB% and a 25 K%. He hasn’t exactly hit a wall, but he isn’t dominating like he did in Double-A. Still, he’s only 21 years old, and there aren’t a lot of players his age in the major leagues.

Furthermore, Addison Barger continues to hit well, going 3-4 with a walk, along with three of the five hardest hit balls. The 23-year-old is slashing .246/.362/.417 with seven homers in 235 plate appearances for a 98 wRC+, but has been much better since returning from injury.
<h1>Canadians walk it off, home runs galore:</h1>
The Vancouver Canadians were team in the Blue Jays organization to win on Tuesday, ending a rare three-game losing streak.
Peyton Williams hit his third home run in High-A and his tenth overall, Dasan Brown hit his sixth homer to tie the game in the bottom of the ninth, and Kekai Rios hit his third home run of the season to walk it off.

The only Canadian minor league team continues to be the most exciting Blue Jays affiliate. I can’t wait until the playoffs.
<h1>FCL Jays nearly no hit:</h1>
After throwing a combined no-hitter on Sunday, the FCL Blue Jays were nearly no-hit themselves in a seven-inning game. Thankfully, catcher Carlos Vasquez hit a single in the final inning to break up the no-hit bid, before Luis Garcia struck out to end the game.
