<h2>Ricky Tidemann has a dominant outing&#8230;</h2>
<p>Top prospect Ricky Tidemann continued his rehab assignment with the Dunedin Blue Jays and turned out another dominant performance against Low-A hitters. The lefty tossed three scoreless innings and allowed one hit and zero walks while striking out nine.</p>

<p>Tidemann made just five starts with Double-A New Hampshire before the Blue Jays shut him down in early May because of a biceps injury. He missed over two months of play and returned to the mound on a rehab assignment in the Florida Complex League on July 21. Over three rehab appearances, Tiedemann has thrown eight scoreless innings with one walk and 15 strikeouts.</p>
<p>There was some optimism last off-season that Tiedemann could move through Double-A and Triple-A in 2023 and join the Blue Jays later in the season, but that seems unlikely now because of the time that he&#8217;s missed. There&#8217;s enough pitching depth at the big-league level that there&#8217;s no need for the Blue Jays to rush their most exciting young arm.</p>
<h2>More Bisons are knocking on the door&#8230;</h2>
<p>Davis Schneider was the star on Friday as he came up and smacked a home run over the Green Monster in his first at-bat at the Major League level. Might there be some other players on the Triple-A Bisons who could come up and spark Toronto&#8217;s offence?</p>
<p>Addison Barger hit a three-run home run in Buffalo&#8217;s 7-6 win over Lehigh Valley while Spencer Horwitz went 3-for-4 with a double and two runs driven in.</p>

<p>Since returning from an elbow injury that sidelined him for over a month, Barger has slashed a .241/.366/.473 line for the Bisons. He&#8217;s started to really heat up lately, as the lefty has two home runs and a double over this three-game series with Lehigh Valley. The three hits by Horwitz pushed his batting Triple-A average and OPS up to .320 and .900 respectively.</p>
<h2>Other minor-league notes&#8230;</h2>

<li>Michael Turconi came into the Vancouver Canadians game against the Hillsborough Hops and drew a walk, which extended his on-base streak to 31 games. Toronto&#8217;s 15th-round pick from the 2022 draft has a .303 batting average and .924 OPS over 71 games in High-A this season. <a href="https://publish.bluejaysnation.com/2023/08/03/under-the-cs-michael-turconi-hits-vancouvers-second-cycle-of-the-season/">He also hit for the cycle earlier this week</a>.</li>
<li>The Dominican Summer League Blue Jays beat the wheels off of the Baby Padres on Friday, winning by a score of 18-5. The star of the game for the Blue Jays was Enmanuel Bonilla, a power-hitting centrefielder who they signed to a $4.1 million contract in this winter&#8217;s international free agency period. Bonilla went 4-for-7 with a home run and he drove in six.</li>
