A Blue Jays top prospect made his professional debut Monday morning.

Back in the middle of January, the Blue Jays signed outfielder Enmanuel Bonilla to a signing bonus of $4,100,000. The 17-year-old already stands at 6’1”, 180 lb, and had some of the best raw power in the 2023 international class.
Well, the outfielder made his debut with the Dominican Summer League Blue Jays, getting four plate appearances and reaching once on a hit by pitch.
Sadly, there’s no video of any of his plate appearances, but the 17-year-old outfielder received the highest signing bonus (for a international free agent) in Blue Jays history.
<h1>What else went down in the Dominican Summer League?</h1>
Fellow 2023 signee Daniel Perez hit a double and drove in one of three runs that the DSL Jays scored on Monday afternoon. The other Blue Jay prospect with a hit was 2022 signee Railin Tejada, who went 2-3 with a walk and two RBIs.
Rodolfo Toledano, a 2022 signee, started the game and finished with a line of 3.2 IP, 3 H, 3 ER, 1 BB, 2 K. Eduar Gonzalez, a 2023 signee, made his professional debut as well, owning a line of 3.1 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 3 K. The best pitcher in relief was 2022 signee Juanmi Vasquez, who finished with a line of 2 IP, 0 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 3 K.
<h1>The Florida Complex League:</h1>
The FCL Jays are currently down 3-2 in the top of the fifth, as the game is in suspension.
So far in the game, Luis Garcia, Jordan Luplow (rehabing), Martin Gimenez, and Kendry Chirinos have the four hits. Garcia knocked in a run with his single.
There have been several players to make their FCL debut as well in this game:Victor Arias, Gregori Cano, Martin Gimenez, and Kendry Chirinos all jumped up from the Dominican Summer League.
Pitcher Cesar Ayala spent the entire 2022 season on the restricted list, but made his FCL on Monday as well. The 20-year-old righty had a line of 3.2 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 3 BB, 2 K.
Sergio Caruci, who pitched 39.2 innings in the FCL last season, had a line of 0.2 IP, 3 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 0 K, but the poor outing may have been related to the rain.
The rookie league lads resume their season tomorrow. The DSL Jays will take on the DSL Orioles, while the FCL Jays will resume their rain suspended game against the FCL Phillies, before taking them on once again at 12:00 PM.
The full-season affiliates also continue their season tomorrow, as the Buffalo Bisons will take on Detroit’s Triple-A team, the Toledo Mudhens.The Double-A New Hampshire Fisher Cats will take on the Harrisburg Senators (Washington’s affiliate), while the Vancouver Canadians will take on the Everett Aqua Sox.
The Single-A Dunedin Blue Jays will make a rare appearances on MiLB.tv, as they face off against Pittsburgh’s Single-A team, the Bradenton Mauraders.
The Blue Jays Minor League report will be a near daily occurrence from now on. With all six affiliate teams starting their season, there’s a lot to cover on a night-to-night basis.
