The Toronto Blue Jays have made another roster move before today’s game in Baltimore.

The club announced earlier today that they have selected right-hander Hayden Juenger to the big league squad. Austin Voth has been designated for assignment to make room on the 40-man and active roster.

Voth, 35, being DFA’d comes after a rough outing against the Orioles on Friday night, where he allowed all five runs, including three home runs, across 3.1 innings.

This is the second time that Voth has been DFA’d by the Blue Jays; the first came back on April 6th after an appearance against the Chicago White Sox, where he gave up a run on three hits, going 2.2 innings.

As for Hayden Juenger, the 25-year-old was drafted by the Blue Jays in the sixth round of the 2021 draft.

Juenger has appeared in 17 games with the Buffalo Bisons this season, recording a 3.15 ERA in 20 innings. Juenger has made appearances as an opener and closer for the Bisons, making two starts and recording three saves. He will be available out of the bullpen ahead of today’s game against Baltimore.

The right-hander has spent the majority of the past five seasons with the Bisons, earning a spot in the bullpen back in 2022. Across 232.2 innings, he owns a 4.80 ERA and a 1.487 WHIP with a 9.5 K/9.
