The Vancouver Canadians are set to add another highly skilled bat to their lineup.
On Friday, it was announced that Eric Snow, the Toronto Blue Jays’ sixth-round pick from the 2025 MLB Draft, had been promoted from Single-A Dunedin to High-A with the Canadians.
Snow earned the promotion after appearing in 43 games with the Blue Jays and batting .285 with one home run and 26 RBIs over his first 368 at-bats. Snow showcased a strong ability to put the bat on the ball as well as draw free passes, highlighted by the 22-year-old’s .368 on-base percentage. Snow has flashed his speed on the base paths, picking up 16 steals in 22 attempts.
On June 2, during a Blue Jays’ 7-6 loss to the Daytona Tortugas, Snow launched his first career professional home run off Tortugas reliever Jordan Little. Snow drove a 97.2 MPH sinker 392 feet over the right center field wall to pull the Blue Jays within one run in the ninth inning. Snow’s home run came off the bat at 101.5 MPH, a strong swing showcased from the 5-foot-8 infielder.
The infielder spent his first two collegiate seasons at the University of South Florida, where he turned in a slash line of .343/.418/.526 with nine home runs and 64 RBIs before he transferred to Auburn University to begin the 2025 season.
While at Auburn, Snow hit .307 with eight home runs and 34 RBIs across 215 at-bats while reaching base at a .403 clip. The strong showing with the Tigers prompted the Blue Jays to select Snow with the 172nd overall selection.
To close out his 2025 season, Snow joined the Blue Jays, where he played in 25 games and hit .237 with eight RBIs. Snow posted a strikeout-to-walk ratio of 9:6 and went 2-for-3 in stolen base attempts.
