He scattered four hits, all of which were singles, didn&#8217;t walk a batter, and struck out two.</p>

<li>After Francis tossed six innings, Wes Parsons came in and pitched the final three frames. He didn&#8217;t allow a hit or an earned run and worked around two walks while striking out one batter. All told, Francis and Parsons held a Minnesota lineup that featured Byron Buxton, Carlos Correa, and Royce Lewis to just four hits and two walks over nine innings.</li>
<li>The one run that the Twins scored came in the third inning. Ryan Jeffers led off with a single, Manuel Margot reached on a throwing error by Eduardo Escobar at third base, and Eduard Julien drove Jeffers home with a single. Francis got out of the inning by picking off Margot at first and then getting Carlos Correa to pop out in foul territory.</li>
<li>The Blue Jays scored three runs in the first two innings of the game to take an early lead. Santiago Espinal led off the first with a double and Davis Schneider brought him home on a sacrifice fly later in the inning. In the second frame, Spencer Horwitz hit a single and catcher Brian Serven hit a two-run bomb to extend Toronto&#8217;s lead to 3-0.</li>
<li>The homer was Serven&#8217;s third of Spring Training, tied for the most on the team with fellow catcher Alejandro Kirk. The Blue Jays claimed Serven off of waivers from the Chicago Cubs this off-season and he&#8217;s made a very good first impression to become the team&#8217;s third-string catcher.</li>
