The frustrating season for Brandon Drury continues. After looking like he had finally started to figure things out in Seattle, the newly-acquired Blue Jay has been placed on the 10-day disabled list with a fractured hand.
Drury went two-for-four with an RBI double on Saturday against the Mariners but was held out of the lineup on Sunday afternoon’s series finale. It’s obviously been a frustrating season for him as he owns a .516 OPS on the season and finally got a full-time role after being dealt from New York to Toronto a couple weeks ago.
Coming up in his place will be Richard Urena who isn’t having all too great of a season himself. Urena is currently slashing a .206/.234/.305 line with Triple-A Buffalo and has a .609 career OPS in 94 plate appearances in the Majors.
