The Blue Jays have added David Phelps to the 40-man roster, meaning he&#8217;s made the team out of training camp.

Phelps was signed to a minor-league deal with an invitation to spring training but it always seemed inevitable that he would be part of the team&#8217;s bullpen, especially now with rosters expanded to 28 players giving the team the option to carry 10 relievers.
In 10 1/3 innings last season with the Blue Jays, Phelps allowed just one earned run on eight hits and four walks while striking out 15. Phelps went on the Injured List in early May and didn&#8217;t return for the rest of the season after undergoing surgery on his right lat.
