Major League Baseball revealed its 2025 post-season bonus pool for players on Thursday, with the back-to-back World Series-champion Los Angeles Dodgers earning 36 per cent ($46.15 million) of the total $128.2 million pool, per Sportico’s report.
The Toronto Blue Jays, who were dealt a heartbreaking loss in Game 7 of the World Series at Rogers Centre last month, received 24 per cent ($30.76 million) of the post-season bonus pool. They issued a total of 70 full shares, valued at $354,118 each (Dodgers handed out 82 full shares worth $484,748 each), and 15.44 partial shares, according to the report.
This year’s bonus pool was a tick below the 2024 post-season’s record-breaking total of $129.1 million. Per the CBA’s guidelines, players and managers who participated in the playoffs receive a full share, as do any players who were placed on the injured list by June 1 or later. Teams must cast votes on any players who weren’t on the roster before that date to decide whether they receive a full or partial share.
Many club staffers are not eligible to receive post-season shares, but can earn cash awards from the pool. Front-office executives aren’t eligible to receive either.
Here are each player’s bonus pool allotments and full share totals for the other 10 post-season teams:
  • Seattle Mariners: $182,376 (69)
  • Milwaukee Brewers: $168,852 (70)
  • Philadelphia Phillies: $52,043 (64)
  • Chicago Cubs: $48,741 (70)
  • New York Yankees: $47,318 (71)
  • Detroit Tigers: $46,865 (75)
  • Cincinnati Reds: $11,527 (69)
  • Cleveland Guardians: $11,056 (71)
  • San Diego Padres: $10,710 (68)
  • Boston Red Sox: $9,346 (91)
These bonuses primarily benefit players who are either within their first few years of arbitration eligibility or remain in the pre-arbitration stage of their careers.
