The fuckin’ House of Horrors. Here we go. The Jays are a modest 3-3 in their past six games, including a series win over Tampa, but now they’re rolling into the Trop with a a decimated pitching rotation. Things ain’t lookin’ good, friends.
News and Scuttlebutt
Lotta things happening today, namely Mat Latos being DFA’d and Joe Biagini starting on Sunday. Click the link above to read about all of it. It’ll be more of a bullpen game than anything.
Gibbons says the pitch count for Biagini on Sunday will be a max of 60. #BlueJays

And now, the lineups…
Blue Jays
Here's our lineup for tonight's series opener vs. the Rays pres. by @MajesticOnField. atmlb.com/2otPGEX #LetsRise
Francisco Liriano: 22 2/3 IP, 3.97 ERA, 8.3 H9, 0.4 HR9, 6.0 BB9, 9.9 SO9
Rays
Back to divisional baseball tonight. #RaysUp
Chris Archer: 39 1/3 IP, 3.43 ERA, 8.0 H9, 0.7 HR9, 3.4 BB9, 8.5 SO9
I don’t like this matchup for the Jays. Archer has been nails against Toronto forever, and Liriano, while obviously a blip for other reasons, was very bad his last time out in Tampa. It honestly isn’t so much Liriano that gives me a bad feeling, because he’s given the team a chance to win in all of his other starts, it’s just the reality of having to face Archer and his stupid slider.
