That’s the list of players who have had hitting streaks of 20 or more games this season, with the Toronto Blue Jays slugger tied for the second longest, hitting the 21-game mark on Friday night. He’ll look to gain sole possession on Sunday afternoon, currently tied with Marte and Vole’s runs, which came earlier this season, as well as tie his own previous streak of 22 games, set in 2022.

Toronto will send Yariel Rodriguez to the mound for his 13th start of the season, fresh off a tremendous performance against the New York Yankees last Sunday. He threw just 76 pitches across four and two-third innings, allowing no earned runs off four hits and a walk, while fanning four batters. Pulled for matchup reasons, it’s safe to assume he’s going to look to put together another strong performance today.

The Jays continue to cap his pitches in the mid-70s to low 80s, so we’ll see how much length he can get today. The most innings he’s thrown in a game this year were six complete against the Seattle Mariners on July 6th.
