Who would’ve thought these seemingly lifeless Toronto Blue Jays could offer up the storylines of the last few days.

From Joey Loperfido and Addison Barger’s clutch home runs to Bowden Francis’ near no-hitter and everything in between, these last three games against the Los Angeles Angels have been nothing short of exciting.

Kevin Gausman will look to build on those Sunday afternoon as the team hosts the Angels for the final game of a four-game set, carrying a 3-0 series lead into the rubber match. He carved up the Halos on August 13th, allowed no earned runs across seven innings, fanning five batters, allowing six hits and walking a pair.

Tyler Anderson will take the mound today for the Angels, looking to bounce back from his last performance against the Jays. He took the mound in the August 14th game, getting lit up by the Jays, who scored seven earned runs against him off six hits and four walks, across five and two-third innings.

The Jays will have the red-hot Joey Loperfido batting second between George Springer and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and playing centre field with Daulton Varsho getting an off day.
