The Toronto Blue Jays are back in Oakland Tuesday night for a late game against the A’s.

Monday night’s soiree between the two sides was admittedly closer than comfort. The two sides were locked up at three after nine innings and forced to go to extras where in the top of the 10th, Santiago Espinal, Cavan Biggio, and Spencer Horwitz each drove in runs to make it 6-3.

The only issue? Lawrence Butler caught a Jordan Romano slider over the plate sending it deep to make it a one-score game. Credit where it’s due, as Romano buckled down striking out Tyler Soderstrom and forcing Zack Gelof into a game-ending double play.

Now, the two sides meet again with Chris Bassit taking the mound for the Jays opposite of Ken Waldichuk and his 5.92 ERA. The Jays have been able to gain some ground in recent days, now sitting just half a game back of a wild card spot.
