The answer to yesterday&#8217;s GDB title of &#8220;Can Chris Bassitt continue to rebound for the Toronto Blue Jays?&#8221; is yes. Yes, he can.

He threw an absolute gem last night going 6.1 IP allowing three hits, one walk, no earned runs while also fanning five batters. Great stuff from him, and while things got a bit tense late in that game, the Jays held on.
Tonight, they have a chance to close out the three-game set on top as Jose Berrios takes the mound. Much like Bassitt yesterday, the Jays could use a big performance from Berrios. Something isn&#8217;t quite right with his game, but the good news is his 2.36 FIP is well below his 7.98 ERA.
The Jays will be up against Luis Garcia tonight, who has struggled this year, so tonight could be a good chance to continue to creep up on the Tampa Bay Rays in the standings.
