All through game one of the Toronto Blue Jays’ series against the Seattle Mariners last night, I couldn’t help but get the feeling that game was cursed.

Maybe it’s the hangover from the playoffs last year. Maybe it was the fact that Alek Manoah struggled early with his command and left a hanging slider over the plate for Cal Raleigh to smash out of the part.

But no matter the nerves, the bats came to life in a big way and the Jays were able to come out on top with a 3-2 win.

Kevin Gausman will take the mound for the Jays this afternoon they look to make it six wins in a row. Toronto has put together a great string of games here beating the New York Yankees to secure that series win before sweeping the Chicago White Sox.

Let’s see if they can get to the Mariners starter today, Easton McGee, who is making is first start in the bigs today.
