The Toronto Blue Jays will be without George Springer for a second consecutive game as they look to split their two-game set with the Philadelphia Phillies.

Springer had been dealing with a viral infection dating back to the Jays&#8217; series against the Boston Red Sox and while it was <a href="https://www.sportsnet.ca/mlb/article/blue-jays-notebook-back-to-full-health-springer-ready-to-rebound-from-slump/">believed to have cleared up</a>, that doesn&#8217;t actually appear to be the case.
He was held out of Tuesday&#8217;s game, and is <a href="https://twitter.com/MitchBannon/status/1656343746961653760">out of the lineup against today</a>. It&#8217;s been a tough start to the year for Springer who is slashing just .209/.272/.302 through 35 games this year.
Today, everybody bumps a spot up the lineup as Cavan Biggio slides into right field to fill Springer&#8217;s spot.
