Did the #BlueJays ever need that one. Isiah Kiner-Falefa is the walk-off hero tonight in Toronto.

The Toronto Blue Jays have an opportunity to split the season series with the Orioles.
On Wednesday, the Blue Jays defeated the Orioles via a walk-off single by Isiah Kiner-Falefa. Although he’s a mediocre hitter, he’s quickly becoming liked by numerous Jays’ fans, as he’s slashing .268/.313/.391 with four homers in 193 plate appearances for a 103 wRC+.
Kiner-Falefa has been an above average defender at third base, shortstop, second base and has a 1.2 fWAR two months into the season because of it.
One free agent signing who hasn’t had a great go of things since the start of the season is designated hitter Justin Turner. Since April 25, he’s slashing .160/.226/.255 with two homers in 115 plate appearances.
However, he had a three-hit performance on Wednesday, which included his 1,500th career-hit. Hopefully, things can turn around for the 39-year-old, but expect Daniel Vogelbach to fill in against right-handed pitchers.

The past two games have seen the Jays at the top of their rotation. On Wednesday, José Berríos pitched and finished with a line of 6 IP, 6 H, 2 ER, 3 BB, 2 K to bring his season ERA to 2.80. Yusei Kikuchi starts on Thursday.
Enough good things can’t be said about Yimi García, who struck out two in a clean inning pitched on Wednesday to bring his season ERA to 1.50. The Blue Jays will get a haul if they decide to sell off expiring free agents at the end of the season.
