Not able to get a ticket to the Blue Jays’ first game of the season? Prefer not to pay into Jays’ top tier dynamic pricing option? Rather watch the game in a bat with a bunch of friends? Just not ready to see in person what the new-look Yankees lineup does to Marcus Stroman?
Hell, even if you just want to do your pre-drinking with us, then sneak over to the Dome for the first pitch, we’ve got a pretty sweet option for you, as this March 29th, Drew and I will be teaming up with the fine folks at Pitch Talks (aka Homestand Sports) to host an Opening Day party at the Rec Room on Bremner Blvd., just to the southeast of the Rogers Centre — within spitting distance of the Ted Rogers Statue!
We’ll be recording a special, pre-game edition of Birds All Day, after which we can all take in the action on the bar’s cinema-sized screen!
And the best part is, the event is free! You just need to RSVP, which you can do by heading over to this link.
So let’s do up Opening Day right: by talking baseball and getting very, very drunk! Perhaps not in that particular order.
Here is a link for the Facebook event page for this, which we’d love for you to share. Below is a look at just where you’ll be able to find us. March 29th is a 3:37 PM first pitch, with a ceremony honouring the late Roy Halladay prior to the game, so you’ll want to get there with plenty of time to spare. More details to come (I assume), but in the meantime, go RSVP to ensure that you can join us for a big day of baseball!
