Blue Jays outfielder Jonathan Davis is taking a lot of positives from the 2019 season despite the team finishing the campaign just one place above the last spot in the American League East.

Davis is one of the players who’s looking back positively, revealing that there was plenty of personal growth. Having started the campaign injured, the 27-year-old faced struggles as he attempted his return, but he’s happy with the way things progressed now that the team’s season is over.
“I’m going to feel good about 2019, for sure. There was a lot of growth. When you feel like you have everything figured out, you don’t,” he remarked. 
“You’re always learning and I saw this year that there’s so much more I can learn each and every day. But I feel really good about the season I had. I started off with an injury, came back from it, weathered through some storms early on, started to play pretty decent when I came back and went through some adversity when I got back up to the big-leagues.”
Davis has admitted that there’s plenty of work to do during the offseason and he plans to take some time altering his swing. 
“I really, going into the off-season, have a lot to work on as far as, not necessarily changing my whole swing, but my approach. And I’m excited about it, man,” he continued. “I don’t think I’ve been at a stage like this when I’ve gone into the off-season knowing that I have to make a change. I’m ready to get after it.”
The Blue Jays will have to make plenty of improvements to get to contention for the World Series.
