What a day it was in the Blue Jays organization

For the first time this week, the Blue Jays affiliates had a winning day, picking up three wins in their five games. Sadly, the Dominican Summer League Jays were rained out.

<h2>Riley Tirotta hit two home runs for Buffalo</h2>
It’s the Riley Tirotta show in Buffalo, as he hit his second and third home runs for the team to give the Bisons a 5-2 win, avoiding dropping below .500.
The first home run came in the top of the sixth to give the Bisons a 3-1 lead, a lead that they’d never relinquish. Along with the second home run of the game, Tirotta also had a single.

However, that wasn’t enough for the 2021 draftee, as he hit his third home run as a Bisons and his sixth overall. With a minimum of 100 plate appearances, Tirotta’s 185 wRC+ ranks top in the organization, beating out Spencer Horwitz’s 157 wRC+.

The second home run was the second of a back-to-back home run, as Orelvis Martinez hit his organization-leading 15th of the season. After a hot start, he cooled down significantly in May, but now has home runs in back-to-back games.

Other players with a hit were Nathan Lukes, Brian Serven, and Michael Turconi, all of which were singles.
Aaron Sanchez had his strongest start in the organization in five years, as he finished with a line of 6 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 5 K with a home run given up. This is what the Blue Jays expected when they signed him. Mason Fluharty struck out a batter in a clean inning, Erik Swanson struck out two in a scoreless innings, and Connor Cooke struck out a batter while giving up an unearned run.
<h2>The Ryan McCarty Party continued for New Hampshire</h2>
Like the Polar Express, the Ryan McCarty Party Train doesn’t stop, as he registered his second home run in four games, helping the New Hampshire Fisher Cats defeat the Erie Seawolves 4-1.
Ryan McCarty hit his second home run as a Fisher Cat in just four games and his seventh home run of the season in under 200 plate appearances. He’s now just three shy of matching his career-high, and is on a four-game hit streak.

Adam Macko had another strong start, surprise, surprise, finishing with a line of 6 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 8 K to bring his season ERA to 3.60. A call-up to Buffalo is on his horizon. Andrew Bechtold and Jimmy Burnette each struck out a batter in their clean innings of work, while Ryan Boyer picked up the save giving up two hits.

<h2>Vancouver have lost back-to-back games</h2>
The Canadians have been struggling to consistently get wins, and on Friday, they fell 9-2 to the Everett Aquasox to bring their season record to 24-26.
Jeffrey Wehler was the only player with an extra-base hit, as he hit his fourth home run of the season, along with hitting a single for the only multi-hit game. Jace Bohrofen, Nick Goodwin, Jamari Baylor, and Estiven Machado all had one single as well.

Chris McElvain had a rough game, giving up 11 hits and nine earned runs in three innings, but struck out six and walked a batter to bring his season ERA to 4.65. Alex Amalfi pitched three scoreless innings with a strikeout, while Naswell Paulino pitched two innings with two walks and two strikeouts.
<h2>Dunedin out lasted Palm Beach in extra-innings</h2>
For the second consecutive game, the Dunedin Blue Jays and the Palm Beach Cardinals needed extra-innings, with the D-Jays coming out on top this time, winning 10-8 in 11 innings. Their record now sits at 27-28.
There were 16 hits for the D-Jays, and usually we start with home runs, but this time, we’ll look at Manuel Beltre. The 19-year-old had a five-hit performance, hitting four singles and his 10th double of the season, the best game for any D-Jay this season.
Damiano Palmegiani hit the team’s only home run, his second at the level and his ninth overall while also hitting a single and a double. Other players with a double were Kekai Rios, Tucker Toman, and Yhoangel Aponte, while Toman and Alex Hernandez each had multi-hit performances. Other players with a hit in the game were Victor Arias and Cristian Feliz.
Fernando Pérez made the start for the D-Jays and had a great game, finishing with a line of 6.2 IP, 5 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 7 K to bring his season ERA to 3.79. Juanmi Vasquez had a rough outing, giving up four earned runs and four walks in two thirds of an inning.
J.J. Sanchez was tagged with the blown save and the win, as he struck out a batter in his 2.2 innings, but gave up two runs, one earned. Bo Bonds picked up the save, striking out a batter in his inning of work.
<h2>FCL Jays lost (again)</h2>
The Florida Complex League Jays can’t seem to win games,  as they fell 5-2 to the FCL Phillies to fall to 6-19 for the season.
David Guzman, Railin Tejada, and Enmanuel Bonilla all hit doubles and coincidentally were the only three players with multi-hit games. Carlos Vasquez and Maykel Minoso each had a single, while Arjun Nimmala walked three times in this game. That’s about all the FCL Jays had for their bats, though.
Chad Dallas made his first rehab start and had a rough outing, finishing with a line of 2.2 IP, 2 H, 2 ER, 0 BB, 5 K with a home run given up. Jorge Guerra finished the inning, facing a single batter, while Samuel Colmenares allowed three earned runs in three innings pitched, along with three strikeouts.
