There are just two more regular season games to cover for the Dunedin Blue Jays and the Vancouver Canadians.
All four “A” affiliate teams were in action in the Blue Jays system, with three of the four teams picking up a win.
Let’s dig into all of that in the latest Minor League Report!
Buffalo won 5-4
The Buffalo Bisons defeated the Lehigh Valley IronPigs 5-4 to bring their second-half record to 25-36.
Steward Berroa continued to build off his career-high in home runs as he hit his tenth home run of the season, the game-winning run in this one. Will Robertson hit two doubles, totaling 21 on the season, while Berroa, Robertson, Jonatan Clase, Alan Roden, and Josh Kasevich each had a multi-hit game. Phil Clarke and Michael Turconi each had a single.
James Kaprielian made the start, pitching five innings with three earned runs allowed, along with four walks and strikeouts. Braydon Fisher pitched a clean inning with a strikeout, while Jimmy Burnette allowed an earned run and struck out a batter in his inning of work.
Eric Pardinho hasn’t given up an earned run in seven appearances (7.2 innings with a 34.5 K% and 3.4 BB%), and that includes his appearance on Saturday where he pitched an inning with a strikeout. Hagen Danner picked up the save, throwing a scoreless inning.
New Hampshire were the only Blue Jays affiliate to lose
The one loss on Saturday came from the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, who fell 7-1 to the Portland Sea Dogs to bring their second-half record to 21-40.
All six of the Fisher Cats’ hits were singles, as Dasan Brown, Charles McAdoo, Rainer Nuñez, Devonte Brown, Garrett Spain, and Gabriel Martinez hit a single, while the team struck out a total of eight times.
Michael Dominguez started the game for the Fisher Cats, finishing with five earned runs and four walks allowed in four innings pitched. Adrián Hernández pitched two and one thirds inning, giving up two earned runs and striking out four.
Vancouver walked off Eugene
The Vancouver Canadians got back on track with a win on Saturday, defeating the Eugene Emeralds 6-5 to move their second-half record to 37-28. Heading into the bottom of the ninth, the Canadians were down 5-3, scoring three runs in the inning to walk it off.
All but one player in the Canadians lineup had a hit. Je’Von Ward, Jackson Hornung, Marcos De La Rosa, Jay Harry, and Bryce Arnold each hit a double, while Hornung and Arnold had two-hit performances. Peyton Williams, Nick Goodwin, Nicolas Deschamps, and Alex Stone each hit a single.

Sanchez struck out two in an inning of work. Bo Bonds was the winning pitcher, striking out a batter in an inning of work.
Dunedin won in extra innings
Sunday was the penultimate game for the Dunedin Blue Jays this season, and they defeated the Tampa Tarpons 5-4 in 10 innings.
They only had four hits in this game, with Braden Barry’s triple being the only extra-base hit for the team. Edward Duran, Carter Cunningham, and Manuel Beltre each hit a single. Moreover, the Canadians stole eight bases this game, with Yhoangel Aponte stealing in the top of the fourth.
Gilberto Batista started the game for the D-Jays, finishing with a line of 4.2 IP, 5 H, 2 ER, 0 BB, 2 K to bring his Single-A ERA to 2.70. Julio Ortiz pitched a third of an inning with two walks and a strikeout, while the rehabbing Ryan Boyer struck out two in a clean inning of work.
