And with nearly 24 hours until the deadline, MLB Network&#8217;s Jon Morosi was on the FAN590 Monday where he was talking about what the Jays are up to.
When asked about Juan Soto being a potential trade target for the Jays, Morosi said Toronto has &#8220;dipped their toes&#8221; into trade conversations, but believed it to be more of an offseason move, if at all.

A starting pitcher and a left-hand at the plate continue to be top targets for the Jays, Morosi noted, and Soto would fit at least one of those bills. If Soto isn&#8217;t moved ahead of Tuesday night, I think it&#8217;s safe to say the Jays will be one of those teams heavily involved in trade discussions this offseason.
Morosi penned later on Twitter that the Jays could put together a &#8220;competitive offer&#8221; for Tigers starter Tarik Skubal, so that will be one to keep an eye on, as well.
