<p>The San Diego Padres made a roster move ahead of their three-game series in Toronto with the Blue Jays on Tuesday.</p>

<p>Veteran utility player Rougned Odor was designated for assignment in order for the Padres to make room on their 40-man roster for Luis Campusano, a pitcher who&#8217;s coming off of the 60-day Injured List.</p>

<p>The Padres inked Odor to a minor-league contract back in March, marking the fourth organization he&#8217;s played for in as many years. He cracked the big-league club out of spring training and slashed a .210/.306/.370 line across 157 trips to the plate this season.</p>
<p>Blue Jays fans know Odor well from his time with the Texas Rangers. He was on the Rangers when they lost to the Blue Jays in the American League Division Series in back-to-back years and he became a public enemy when he punched Jose Bautista in the face during a game in Texas in 2016.</p>
<p>Odor spent the 2021 season with the New York Yankees and the 2022 season with the Baltimore Orioles and was booed by fans in Toronto whenever his teams faced the Blue Jays.</p>

<p>In other news, Blue Jays closer Jordan Romano said that he&#8217;ll be available to pitch on Tuesday if needed.</p>
<p>Romano hurt his back while pitching for the American League in the All-Star Game last week. He sat out of Toronto&#8217;s weekend series against the Arizona Diamondbacks while receiving treatment on his back but wasn&#8217;t placed on the Injured List.</p>
<p>The 30-year-old Markham, Ontario native has a 2.87 ERA over 39 appearances this season and leads the American League with 26 saves.</p>
<p>Chad Green will make his first rehab appearance with Low-A Dunedin on Saturday. The 32-year-old righty threw just 15 innings for the New York Yankees last season before undergoing Tommy John surgery. He inked a very unique contract with the Blue Jays in the off-season that features both team and player options.</p>
<p>Hyun Jin Ryu will pitch another rehab start for the Buffalo Bisons on Friday. The veteran lefty allowed just two earned runs across 12 innings in his first three rehab outings in the Florida Complex League, Low-A, and Triple-A. He&#8217;s expected to throw around 85 pitches during Friday&#8217;s outing and might be ready to return to the Blue Jays after that if all goes well.</p>
