The thing is, it’s not just prospect season for Blue Jays Nation.

<a href="https://www.baseballamerica.com/rankings/top-2023-mlb-draft-prospects/">Baseball America came out with its Top 100 list on Wednesday morning, featuring just a lone Blue Jay</a>.
20-year-old Ricky Tiedemann ranked as their 31st-best prospect, given a grade of 60 or higher except for on control (which ranked 55). His highest-graded pitch was his changeup, which Baseball America gave him a grade of 70. His mid-90s fastball also received a grade of 65.
Somehow, Tiedemann dropped from the 28th-ranked prospect during the mid-season. Despite the drop, his fastball grade changed from 60 to 65, his changeup remained the same, his slider jumped from 55 to 60, and his control jumped from 50 to 55.

Former Blue Jay Gabriel Moreno is ranked as their 12th-best prospect. They noted how he’s a fantastic hitter (70-grade hit tool), but his power remains a question. Baseball America also notes that he’s an advanced defensive catcher, which is debatable.
While Tiedemann only dropped three places, Moreno dropped from third in the mid-season update, which is a drop of nine spots. Furthermore, sites such as MLB Pipeline don’t consider him eligible for the Top 100 anymore.
<h1>Which Blue Jays prospects missed out:</h1>
There were a few names that were left out that I thought could feature in the top 100. The most notable being Addison Barger, who hit like an absolute mad man no matter which level he played at. Between High-A, Double-A, and Triple-A, he slashed .308/.378/.555 with 26 homers. Barger probably should have been on this list.
Another notable name that was left out was Orelvis Martinez. He led the Blue Jays minor leaguers with 30 home runs on the season in Double-A (as a 20-year-old). This one is a little bit more understanding as he slashed .203/.286/.446 in 492 plate appearances.
The two other prospects who I thought had a chance were the Jays&#8217; 2022 first rounder, Brandon Barriera, as well as Yosver Zulueta. But once again, I understand why these two players were left off.
It will be interesting to see who ranks in their Top 100 mid-season rankings. I believe Barger has the best chance, but he may already be a major leaguer by the time it’s posted. Martinez also has a good shot at making the Top 100 if he repeats the level.
