Jose Bautista makes his spring debut for the Blue Jays today, and hopefully so too does a comments solution for the site here. Behold Solid Opinion at the bottom of this post! Fingers crossed that this actually works! (Apologies for more hoops to have to jump through).
Oh, and the split squad Yankees are sending out some big bats to face Drew Hutchison — who, Benny Fresh tweets, will be followed by Jesse Chavez, Chad Jenkins, Scott Copeland, and Pat Venditte.
SCUTTLEBUTT
Ben Nicholson-Smith also tweets that the Jays could use early off-days to push back the still-ailing Marco Estrada, in case he still isn’t quite up to speed by the end of camp.
At Sportsnet, Arden Zwelling writes about the Jays’ new High Performance department, which the club hopes is going to change the game. No, really.
Conner Greene has been sent down to minor league camp. No word on Charlie Sheen’s whereabouts.
