We have de lead early 💥
The Blue Jays just got their asses handed to them by the goddamn Mets

When you send Chase Anderson out to take on Jacob deGrom you probably shouldn’t expect much, but that… That was something else.
Things worth mentioning…
- When you lose 18-1, there isn’t much to talk about! Vlad Jr. smashed one of the hardest-hit singles you’ll ever see in the first inning off of deGrom to give the Jays a 1-0 lead and then it was pretty much all downhill from there.
- And then there was the pitching, which was mostly terrible. Chase Anderson was junk, Anthony Kay couldn’t throw a strike, and Jacob Waguespack wasn’t much better as a mop-up guy. Ryan Borucki tossed a scoreless frame and then Ken Giles made his first appearance since all the way back in July. Giles allowed a solo homer on the first pitch he threw, but settled down and picked up two strikeouts, sitting around 94 miles-per-hour on his heater.
- And then, finally, this happened…
Now pitching...
- Santiago Espinal came in and allowed only one run. Not bad!
- One other thing worth showing is this absolutely horrendous sequence in which Danny Jansen dropped what could have been a potential triple-ball earlier in the game when Anthony Kay was pitching. The Jays have made a lot of really bad plays this season, but this might be the worst one. OOF.
The easiest run the Mets will score all season long.
