<p>The Rays pounded the Red Sox by a score of 9-3 on Thursday afternoon to complete a four-game sweep. Tampa Bay is now 13-0 to start the season, which matches the 1982 Atlanta Braves and the 1987 Milwaukee Brewers for the most consecutive wins to start a season.</p>

<p>The Rays will look to set a new Major League Baseball record with their 14th win in a row to start the season when they come to Toronto to open up a three-game set with the Blue Jays on Friday.</p>
<p><a href="https://twitter.com/bnicholsonsmith/status/1646583730696323079?s=20">According to Ben Nicholson-Smith</a>, the Blue Jays will send José Berríos to the mound while Drew Rasmussen will start for the Rays. Berríos has had a tough start to his season, as he&#8217;s allowed 12 earned runs over 9 2/3 innings across his first two starts, while Rasmussen has yet to allow a run over 13 innings of work this season.</p>
<p>This will be an interesting test for both teams. There&#8217;s no doubting how impressive Tampa&#8217;s start has been, but they&#8217;ve had a very easy schedule with the Tigers, Nationals, Athletics, and Red Sox to kick things off. The same is true for the Blue Jays, who sit 8-4 ahead of their series finale with Detroit. The Cardinals have been the only playoff-calibre opponent that Toronto has faced thus far.</p>
<p>The Blue Jays finished second in the AL East last season with a 92-70 record while the Rays wound up in third after going 86-76. Tampa edged out Toronto in the head-to-head season series 10-9 and both teams were swept in two games in the AL Wild-Card series.</p>
