Blue Jays sign Isaac Williams to UDFA deal

The Toronto Blue Jays’ run on adding pitchers to their organization via undrafted free agents continued into Tuesday evening.
After adding five pitchers earlier this week, the Blue Jays signed right-hander Isaac Williams as part of their 2026 UDFA class.
Williams joins the Blue Jays organization after four seasons in the NCAA. The 22-year-old spent his first two seasons at the University of Jacksonville, then transferred to the University of Central Florida before closing out his collegiate career with the University of Oklahoma.
In 13 games with the Sooners, Williams went 1-0 with a 5.14 ERA and a 1.50 WHIP. The right-hander appeared in only 14 innings last season but was able to strike out 18 batters.
Williams struck out 29% of the batters he faced, giving the organization some tools to work with as he enters professional baseball. In his 13 outings, opponents only hit .245 against Williams, but the eight walks led to the inflation of his numbers on the year.
As part of the Sooners team that claimed the 2026 NCAA College World Series, Williams made his last appearance during a 9-3 loss against Georgia Tech in the NCAA Regionals, where he failed to record an out, allowing one hit, one walk, and one unearned run.
Over four career NCAA seasons, Williams pitched in 53 games and went 4-4 with a 6.17 ERA and a 1.81 WHIP. The righty struck out 57 batters across his 54 innings pitched.
