<p>The Toronto Blue Jays kicked off their three-game set in the south side of Chicago on Tuesday with a 4-3 victory over the White Sox and snapped a three-game losing streak in the process.</p>
<h2>Things worth mentioning&#8230;</h2>
<ul>
<li>Chris Bassitt took the mound for the Blue Jays and put up his second quality start in a row, allowing three earned runs over six innings while striking out five. All of the damage that Bassitt allowed came in the sixth inning. Andrew Benintendi hit a lazy single, Tim Anderson reached on a difficult play that Bo Bichette wasn&#8217;t able to make, and then Luis Robert Jr. smashed his 25th homer of the season.</li>
<li>That home run put the White Sox up by a score of 3-2 but a dinger in the eighth inning from Vladimir Guerrero Jr. put the Blue Jays back in front. Brandon Belt drew a walk to open up the inning and then Vladdy smashed a pitch from Joe Kelly 106.5 miles per hour over the right field wall. <a href="https://twitter.com/james_in_to/status/1676422119406686208?s=20">Per James G on Twitter</a>, this was just the second time Guerrero had hit a come-from-behind-and-go-ahead homer in the seventh inning or later. The other was the home run he hit off of Zack Britton of the New York Yankees back in June of 2019.</li>
<li>The bullpen was rock-solid after Bassitt was pulled from the game. Nate Pearson tossed a clean seventh, Erik Swanson worked around a triple to throw a scoreless eighth, and then Jordan Romano picked up the save by striking out the side in the ninth.</li>
<li>The Blue Jays swept the White Sox back in April and outscored them 20-2 over the course of the three-game series. They&#8217;re now 4-0 against Chicago this season and they&#8217;re 12-5 against the American League Central all told.</li>
