Yes, Giancarlo Stanton is already getting booed by Yankees fans in his first home game of 2018.
Watch Yankees fans boo Giancarlo Stanton in his home debut

Imagine having Giancarlo Stanton on your team. I mean, imagine having a former franchise legend purchase one of Major League Baseball’s piles of garbage and then immediately ship him over to your team as a favour.
That’s what the Yankees got to experience last winter as they acquired the league’s best power hitter from the Marlins in exchange for Starlin Castro, uh, maybe a prospect, and a bunch of autographed merchandise that Jeter could sell along with every single other player on Miami’s roster.
After yesterday’s game was postponed due to snow, the Yankees finally had their 2018 Home Opener at Yankee Stadium today against the Tampa Bay Rays. The Yankees kicked the crap out of them by a score of 11-4, putting the team at a thoroughly solid 3-2 for the season.
But Stanton struck out five times. It’s the first time he had done that in his Major League career. The horrid showing at the plate dropped his OPS to .980 on the season. How did Yankee fans respond? Well, exactly how you’d expect.
More boos for Giancarlo Stanton. This time Michael Kay addresses the Yankees fans booing.
He’s been a Yankee for five games and has two homers on the season and Yankees fans are already ready to bring down the boos. Good fucking lord, Yankees fans. You’re like a parody of yourself at this point.
