The White Sox are coming to town for the first time this season. Do you know what that means? Time to find out who isn’t vaccinated!
According to James Fegan, the White Sox have placed Dylan Cease and Kendall Graveman on the Restricted List ahead of their series in Toronto…
Cease is a starting pitcher who isn’t scheduled to take the bump in any of the three games in this series so that doesn’t make a difference, but Graveman is one of Chicago’s better relief pitchers and his absence is fairly significant to their bullpen.
Graveman was drafted by the Blue Jays in the eighth round of the 2013 draft and was part of the package that the Blue Jays sent to the Oakland A’s in exchange for Josh Donaldson ahead of the 2015 season. He had some decent seasons as a depth starter in Oakland but really hit his stride a few years later when the Seattle Mariners made him a reliever.
In 33 innings with the Mariners in 2021, Graveman allowed just three earned runs. He was traded mid-season to the Houston Astros, where he posted a 3.13 ERA over the course of 23 outings. The White Sox inked Graveman to a three-year, $24 million contract back in November.
