And you can finally exhale (for now)!
Backed by a phenomenal pitching performance from Aaron Sanchez and a clutch two-run single from Troy Tulowitzki, the Blue Jays squeezed out a 2-1 win to cap off the 2016 regular season in Boston, and will now host the Baltimore Orioles in the wild card game on Tuesday.
Fuck me, that was a stressful-ass last few days. But here we are! After the Jays damn near pissed it away in the last week of the season, they managed to pull it together when it mattered most.
So who’s going to start against the Dirty Shit Birds on Tuesday? I don’t know! And to be honest, I don’t even want to begin thinking about the wild card game for another few hours, because my goodness, that was one stressful game!
Hats off to Aaron Sanchez for the incredible start. Hats off to Joe Biagini, Brett Cecil, and Roberto Osuna for the relief. Hats off to Troy Tulowitzki for the clutch RBI and Devon Travis for the solo homer. And hats off to your 2016 Toronto Blue Jays for making the playoffs!
See you all Tuesday!
