<p>The Jays are not within a game of .500 tonight, which means it&#8217;s actually possible for them to win! They&#8217;ll have to look better on both sides of the ball than last night&#8217;s disaster, though. Marco Estrada had his third straight rough game (don&#8217;t stop believing, my streetlight people), and the Jays could do shit-all against Alan Farina&#8217;s son* Jacob. Tonight it&#8217;s Francisco Liriano against Jake Odorizzi. We shall see how it goes!</p>

<p><a href="https://bluejaysnation.com/2017/06/14/ezequiel-carrera-is-on-crutches-and-the-dl/">As we learned earlier</a>, the Blue Jays will have to avoid the totally-not-a-sweep two game series &#8220;sweep&#8221; without Ezequiel Carrera. This actually hurt, because despite glaring deficiencies in the outfield, Carrera has actually posted a 112 wRC+ thus far (Mookie Betts is at 113, to use an example that&#8217;s obscenely friendly to ol&#8217; Zeke). He&#8217;s been OK. AND NOW HERE COMES DWIGHT SMITH!</p>
<p>Should be fine, though, right? At least they&#8217;re not playing to get to .500!</p>
<p>As for other scuttlebutt, uh&#8230; I&#8217;ve heard that the experts are puzzled by Devon Travis&#8217;s latest injury. To wit:</p>
